"Little Mellow Man" ~ Dayton Area Children Photographer

Well here I am playing catch up again even though I thought I would be able to stay on track seeing as I am out of school. It is more difficult than I imagined however with a 15 month old and being gone for a week at Miami U to improve on my photography skills did not help either. I even missed last week’s I heart faces challenge, when I had planned on entering each week!

Oh well I only wish summer was not flying past me in a crazy fun whirlwind. ;) I think I could get used to taking photos for a living while staying at home with my little man but, my students would miss their fabulous teacher. LOL.

Well back to your regular blog post…

This was actually the second session I dragged Grant to and after doing it twice I don’t think he will be coming to many more with Mommy. I love having him there but, it is hard to stay in the picture taking zone when I have to constantly keep him out of things or from sticking everything in the sun in his mouth. Yes, he still does that; I really would have thought he would have outgrown it by now but, the teething continues.

Little R’s mother is actually a high school friend of mine so, it was a joy being able to catch up with her during a photo session. This cute chunky monkey was so laid back and mellow it was a breeze taking his portraits when I am used to dealing with my crazy little monster. It was a little bit of a challenge getting him to look at Mommy or the camera but, together we managed.

I must say this little man is strong and I would not be surprised if we are looking at a future sports hero here!

Thanks E for the opportunity to capture your adorable little boy and I hope we can get the boys together more often…

Sometimes I think I have created a monster who can't stand not being the center of attention!

His first tackle!

It was close to nap time so, the sunglasses made their appearance in a few!  Scheduling a portrait session around two babies is fun...

And finally after R showed me his many "faces" I got a few giggles and smiles.  Such a cutie...

...And another collage/storyboard experiment.

Stay tuned for a glimpse at the fun I had on the I heart Faces photo walk in Columbus, my trip to Miami U and a fun shoot with The T Family (did I mention I was behind)...
